Travel & Airlines Business Management

Duration: 4 Years

Saint Mary’s College Travel and Events Management & Airlines Business Management (Degree/Diploma) programs are designed in an effective way so that students get familiar with the hospitality industry especially in Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE) and Events Management since the beginning of the program.
Saint Mary’s College Travel & Airlines Business Management program is an Undergraduate Program, a continuation of Travel & Airlines Business Management Diploma Program. Course materials provides the below knowledge based insight to all participating students:

Introduction to Hospitality Industry and Travel & Airlines Business Management
The first semester is a broad introduction to Hospitality Industry and MICE and Events Business and basic knowledge in general education courses. This year students will gain basic knowledge about Events Business which included Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention and Exhibition. Students will gain basic knowledge about the role of each element which impact on business and social. Students will also learn about events business opportunities and threats, type of service, etc.

Morals for Hospitality & Airlines Industry
In addition to knowledge for hospitality industry and MICE and Events Business Management, students will begin to understand the morality, ethics, as Saint Mary’s College’s core values to follow. Students will also gain the knowledge and understanding of social manners, service psychology, life planning, social harmony, public spirits, sufficiency economy study, and professional ethics.

Business Elements for the Hospitality & Airlines Industry
Core Business Knowledge for Hotel and Hospitality Industry Management
Business courses play vital role in sophomore year, students will gain more knowledge in various business components namely; introduction to statistics, principles of communication, principles of marketing, business law, business accounting, business statistic, and business computer. Beside these business courses students will also learn introduction to food and beverage service, introduction to tourism, and introduction to culinary arts which all these courses will give students holistic picture in hospitality enterprise.

MICE-Events Management
Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention, and Exhibition
In First Year, students will learn in-depth detail on each element in classes and get chance to explore the industry. The faculty will take students to MICE Venues such as Jakarta International Exhibition Centre(JIEXPO), ICE- Exhibition and Convention Center , BSD, etc. for more practical insight.

Airlines Business Management
During the course of the study. All aspiring students will explore the series of management courses which included Ticketing & reservation, Customer services, Baggage handling and Airport operations Airlines Catering Service Management and Travel Management etc.
